Garden Show April 28 - June 20, 2008 Opening Reception May 2, 5-7 pm
If your garden grows anything like Madison & Main's newest show, be prepared for a bumper crop and a huge variety.
The Madison & Main Gallery will be ready for its annual Garden Show. A public opening reception is planned for May 2, from 5-7 p.m. at the gallery, 927 16th St., next to the Book Stop and Margie's Java Joint.
The show continues through June 20 at the artists-owned gallery. On exhibit are works by the gallery's local and regional members, featuring paintings by new member, Dan Augenstein, as well as 15 guest artists. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
The show features almost as many media as artists, from stained glass to wooden spiders, from photography to rocks, from pottery to watercolors.

Illustrated Books
The upcoming show for the
Madison and Main Gallery will feature illustrators from Northern Colorado. Their works of art are an assortment of pieces created to illustrate books. Eleven guest artists have been invited to join the gallery’s members in this fabulous new show that opens March 3 and runs through April 25, 2008. Please join us and meet the artists during the public opening reception and book signing that is planned for
First Friday, March 7, from 5-7 p.m. at the gallery, 927 16th Street in Greeley. The Madison & Main Gallery is an artists-owned gallery. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday - Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
The guest artists are all members of SCBWI (Society for Children's Book Writers and Illustrators). They include:
Cherish Flieder - Golden - Cherish is a Colorado native and award-winning illustrator. She combines whimsy and sophistication in her new watercolor/embroidery art style that can be pre-viewed at www.somethingtocherish.com.
Benjamin Hummel - Golden- Benjamin draws inspiration from the fond childhood memories commonly shared in the American heart. He and his artist wife, Cherish Flieder, are the cofounders of Painting for Life.
Danlyn Iantorno - Thornton - Internationally published illustrator and licensor Danlyn Iantorno, creates digital graphics and traditional, pencil realism for children's publishing. Her career spans over 25 years.
Sarah Tommer - Arvada - A versatile young artist, who has recently been published in the trade and educational markets. She utilizes a variety of media and subject matter in her work, but is most passionate about creating characters that are strong in humorous or emotional situations.
Bobbie (Roberta) Collier-Morales Boulder - Roberta loves to create illustrations to tickle your imagination using a wide variety of media. An award winning illustrator of mass market, educational, and trade books for over 27 years, she is now licensing her work as well as continuing her pursuit to become a writer/illustrator of children's books
Kristi Foster Hill Greeley - Talented children’s book illustrator specializing in soft, whimsical animals and fantastical illustrations done in a transparent acrylic technique.
Lori Kiplinger Pandy Fort Collins - Lori's ability to paint people of all ethnicities has attracted the attention of the educational publishing industry. In addition to her fine art paintings and sculptures, Lori has painted over 25 cover illustrations for McGraw-Hill as well as many children's books.
Nancee Jean McClure - Grand Junction - Nancee is an illustrator and fine artist who has worked within the educational publishing industry for thirty years. She specializes in nature and wildlife illustrations and recently illustrated three children's books.
Joyce Mihran Turley Fort Collins Award-winning illustrator specializing in natural science topics for children. Presenting scientifically accurate images with a painterly style and colorful palette.
Pamela McCarville Evans - A fantasy illustrator creating a journey of magic, mystery, and enchantment for children.
Gary Raham Wellington Gary Raham loves to help connect both kids and adults to science with his stories and illustrations. He writes award-winning books, articles, and stories at home in Wellington, Colorado, when not roaming the west in search of fossils.
